Search begins for new FPSB director
The global Financial Planning Standards Board is seeking a new director for its board.
The organisation is looking for someone who holds the Certified Financial Planner certification and who is in good standing with the FPSB member organisation which certified them.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strategic planning experience while serving on a national or international governing board and have experience working at a national or international financial services firm.

Steve Helmich, FPSB board chairman, said: "The ideal candidate for FPSB's 2015 board of directors will complement the strengths of our existing board members, bringing an objective world view to our discussions, as well as an ability to develop creative strategies to advance FPSB's mission and vision.
"As the standards-setting body for the global financial planning profession, FPSB represents the perspective of more than 150,000 CFP professionals worldwide and the interests of millions of consumers seeking competent, ethical Financial Planners who will place their interests first."
FPSB's board is responsible for guiding the organisation's administration of its public interest mission and vision and also for developing governing policies that address the broadest levels of all organisational decisions and situations.
FPSB will finalise its selection for the FPSB Board by January 2015.
The chosen individual will join nine other volunteer board members from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.
Candidates should be submitted no later than 25 July 2014 via nominations@fpsb.org or +1-720-407-1921 (fax).
