Six candidates vying for three IFP board positions
Six CFPCM professionals are hoping to win the vote of their fellow Financial Planners as they vie for three places to become directors on the IFP board.
An election is underway to decide which of the runners and riders will take on the role for the next year.
The board member role is a voluntary position.
Members of the IFP have a vote each and are being sent ballot forms by email.
The candidates are:
• Andrew Brook-Dobson CFPCM – Brook-Dobson Brear
• John Gaskell CFPCM – ICAEW Financial Services Faculty
• Jason McGuigan CFPCM – Critchleys Financial Planning
• Craig Palfrey CFPCM – Penguin Wealth
• Martin Ruskin CFPCM – Paradigm Norton
• Dhan Sharma CFPCM – Maze Wealth
The election runs until Friday 19 September and the IFP asked members to make their vote count and opt for the Financial Planner they feel will best represent their interests.
The successful candidates will be announced at the Annual General Meeting of IFP taking place on 6 October at Celtic Manor Resort.
The candidates came forward after the IFP encouraged individuals with appropriate experience to put themselves up for election.
A director will serve for an initial three year term and may be re-elected for a second term although if they go on to serve the organisation as vice president and ultimately president, it can be slightly longer.
The IFP Board currently consists of the below CFPCM professionals who have been elected by the IFP membership plus two independent directors. The role of the board is to influence the strategic direction of the IFP.
