Thousands set for Glastonbury-inspired Financial Planning Festival
Several thousand Financial Planners, Paraplanners and advisers are expected to attend the first Financial Planning Festival which will have a Glastonbury-style element designed to ‘entertain’ and inspire delegates.
The PFS will host the “biggest conference in financial services calendar” on 7 - 8 November this year and Financial Planning Today magazine has been given an exclusive insight into how the event is shaping up.
Some of the branding has been released, as shown above and below. An estimated 3,000 people and 150 exhibitors are expected to attend the event.
In his column for FP Today magazine, PFS chief executive Keith Richards said: “We’re calling it a festival as we want each and every delegate to be entertained. And just like Glastonbury, sessions will be held concurrently across multiple areas, offering delegates greater flexibility and a wide variety of key subjects to satisfy all.
“We’re also targeting some of the highest profile speakers in finance and politics to feature as a headline act or acts.”
He said: “We all know professional conferences can at times be dry and predictable, but our festival later this year will be far from that."
It will become the biggest conference hosted by the PFS in its history, officials said.
Mr Richards said: “The last time we held one single flagship conference was in 2014, and we feel it is time again to offer the profession something new, exciting and relevant.”
