Wealth manager boosts lifestyle planning focus
A wealth manager is celebrating reaching 10 years in business by strengthening its lifestyle Financial Planning service.
Huddersfield-based Sheards Wealth Management said it had its most successful year to date in 2017, with a 35% increase in turnover.
In the last six months, three new members of staff have been recruited, meaning it has nearly doubled in size. The recruits were brought in to deal with the increased demand from an “expanding client base”.
They were Darren Brock, an adviser, Suzanne Lubenko, a Paraplanner, and Conor O’Brien, a financial administrator.
The firm was formed in 2008 in response to increasing requests from clients of Sheards Accountancy for advice on matters such as investment and pension issues.
Mark Stewart, director of the wealth firm, said: “It’s such an exciting time for Sheards Wealth and with our 10th anniversary this year, we’ve got a lot to celebrate.
“Our 10th year in business will see us continue to strengthen our lifestyle planning offering.
“We use a bespoke system that allows us to give our clients a clear indication of their current financial situation is and what that means for the future.”
Mr Stewart, whose career in finance spans nearly three decades, added: “I’m delighted that Darren, Suzanne and Conor have joined our fantastic team as our client portfolio continues to grow.”
Sheards Wealth serves clients throughout Lancashire and Yorkshire.
It offers a range of services from pensions and retirement planning, to inheritance tax mitigation using bespoke lifestyle cashflow modelling.
