IFP Social Media: 'Good chance' conference will run again
The Institute of Financial Planning has said there is a "good chance" it will hold a second social media conference following its successful debut today.
The conference, which was attended by 75 delegates including Financial Planners, Paraplanners and journalists, was held at the America Square Conference Centre in London today.
Speakers included Justine Priestley from Really Bright Media, Bridget Greenwood from FSM, Internet psychologist Graham Jones and LifeTalk founder Phil Calvert.
Topics covered included LinkedIn, blogging, Twitter and videos with a mixture of keynote sessions, track sessions and Q&A sessions.
Kath Morgans, event manager for the IFP, said there was a "good chance" that the IFP would run the conference again.

She said: "It went really well today, we're really positive about it, it was very good, very buzzy and we're hoping for positive feedback from delegates. There was a lot to take in and lots for people to learn.
"There's a good chance we'll run the conference again next year, we'll see what the feedback is like. But we need members to appreciate these opportunities out there for them, tell others about how it went and talk about the benefits of attending these sort of events."
Nick Cann, chief executive of the IFP, said he was pleased with how the event had gone and impressed with the broad range of delegates who attended.
The conference also saw many delegates sign up to Twitter for the first time and will hopefully see them using social media more widely.
